Japan Protects itself from their Troublesome neighbors

*US Approves✔ $3.3 Bn Sale of Anti-Ballistic Missiles to 🇯🇵Japan*

Washington approved the USD 3.3 billion sales of anti-ballistic missiles to Japan Tuesday, following close behind a series of new ballistic missile tests by North Korea that could threaten the US ally.

Japan will buy up to 73 of the Raytheon-made SM-3 Block IIA missiles, which are designed to be fired by the shipboard Aegis system to intercept incoming ballistic missiles, the Pentagon said.

The sale came as North Korea is expanding its offensive missile capabilities, having proven over the past two years the ability to launch medium- and long-range ballistic missiles, potentially nuclear-tipped, that could hit both Japan and the United States.

This month Pyongyang has carried out seven tests of new short-range ballistic missiles, at least one of which flew far enough to reach Japan.

The Pentagon also approved new arms sales to Hungary, South Korea, Lithuania and Denmark, worth together another USD 943 million.

Costco Forced to Shut First 🇨🇳China Store Early Due to Crowds👥

US retailer Costco was forced to close early on its opening day in China, after the store was swamped with shoppers.

Buyers battled long queues and traffic chaos, before the Shanghai store was shut hours early due to "overcrowding".

Costco's push into China comes as other foreign retailers have struggled to compete with local rivals.

It also comes at a time of rising tensions between the US and China over trade.

Costco is a discount warehouse store that sells a range of goods, from fresh foods to household electronics.

Some customers spent two hours lining up to pay for their purchases, while some had to wait three hours for parking, state news agency Xinhua reported.

Archeologists Find Remains of 227 Sacrificed Children in Peru

*Archeologists Find Remains of👉 227 Sacrificed Children🧒 in Peru🇵🇪*

Archaeologists in Peru say the 227 bodies they have unearthed from a site used by the pre-Columbian Chimu culture is the biggest-ever discovery of sacrificed children. Archaeologists have been digging since last year at the huge sacrificial site in Huanchaco, a beachside tourist town north of the capital Lima.

“This is the biggest site where the remains of sacrificed children have been found,” chief archaeologist Feren Castillo told AFP on August 27.

Castillo said the children, who were aged between four and 14, were sacrificed in a ritual to honour the Chimu culture’s gods. “They were sacrificed to appease the El Nino phenomenon,” and show signs of being killed during wet weather, he said. He added that there may still be more to be found.

“It’s uncontrollable, this thing with the children. Wherever you dig, there’s another one,” Castillo said. The children’s remains were found in a position facing the sea. Some still had skin and hair.

Huanchaco was a site where many child sacrifices took place during the time of the Chimu culture, whose apogee was between 1200 and 1400. Archeologists first found children’s bodies at the dig site in the town’s Pampa la Cruz neighbourhood in June 2018, unearthing 56 skeletons.

Town Union Election Tears Nguru Nsukka Community Apart

Town Union Election🗳 Tears Nguru Nsukka Community Apart

Another round of crisis has hit Nguru community, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

This time, indigenes of the community are locking horns over the election of members of Town Union Executive after the emergence of a traditional ruler in the person of His Royal Highness, Igwe Linus Obayi.

The media learnt the crisis in the community predates the emergence of the monarch.

It was gathered that the indigenes have remained sharply divided, a situation that was occasioned by the plan by a Charismatic Catholic Priest from the community, Rev. Fr. Paul Obayi to establish a private university in the area. The bone of contention has been on the modalities of the priest’s acquisition of land for the said purpose.

The development has created room for a clear division which has continued till date, and has now worsened with attempts to elect Town Unio Exco.

In a petition written to the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area by a group, Nguru Nsukka Development Union, which is opposed to the monarch, they accused him of trying to impose Town Union leaders on the community.

The petition, dated August 25, 2019, was signed by Mr. Ugwu Ignatius and Onah Sylvester, the chairman and the secretary, respectively. No less than 36 other members of the community were listed as interested parties in the petition.

Youssoufa Moukoko set the BVB Football Park alight on Sunday with an eight-minute hat-trick in Borussia Dortmund U19's 6-2 victory over Arminia Bielefeld U19.

The 14-year-old continued his blistering form in the U19 Bundesliga with three quick-fire goals on Sunday

The 14-year-old Cameroon forward, who is playing well above his age group, fired the hosts ahead with his goals in the 26th, 28th and 33rd minutes.

The goals stretched his tally to nine goals after four outings in the Bundesliga youth league this season and also helped his team end a two-game losing streak.

Intersociety Attacks Buhari for Denying Igbo Senior Police Positions

Intersociety Attacks Buhari👊 for Denying Igbo Senior Police👮 Positions

The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), has condemned the current ranking in the country’s police force, in which no Igbo officer is Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) or Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

In a statement on Sunday, the group stressed that the region was left with only six Commissioners of Police (CPs).

The statement jointly issued by Head of Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, Obianuju Joy Igboeli, Head of Campaign and Publicity, Evangeline Chidinma Udegbunam and Board Chair of Intersociety, Emeka Umeagbalasi, revealed that by the current structure, the South East has been excluded from the Nigeria Police Management Team (PMT).

It maintained that the Igbo reject the lopsided arrangement.

The statement read in part: “Out of seven DIGs who head seven key departments of the Nigeria Police (NPF), South-East should have at least one DIG.

“The South-East should also be entitled to two Police Zonal Command AIGs of the 12 and minimum of four or maximum of five AIGs of the about 20-22 serving AIGs.”

On the 95 serving CPs, the South-East should have at least 15 CPs and not less than six state commands CPs.

“The allocation of only six CPs and one Acting CP including a retiring CP is not only rejected but also grossly undermines the equity and fairness inherent in the geopolitical zones arrangement."

He’s a National Disgrace’ -Nigerian Govt Threatens to Deal with Bobrisky

*He’s a National😒 Disgrace’ -Nigerian Govt Threatens to Deal with Bobrisky

The Federal Government of Nigeria has threatened to deal with male cross-dresser, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky.

Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, made the disclosure in an interview with Vanguard.

His words, “Bobrisky is a national disgrace. He started by selling and using bleaching creams, now, he has grown boobs, bums and hips.

‘If a Bobrisky is doing well with his immoral lifestyle, how do you convince Nigerian youths to do the right thing? Bobrisky has the right, but not within the Nigerian environment.

“There are others like him, but they live outside the country. If we don’t address Bobrisky as early as possible, he will form a team that will spread like wildfire.

“This will result in a lot of suicide cases, because the typical Nigerian parent would not want to see their child become a Bobrisky.

“It’s not an entertainment issue, it’s a war to save Nigeria for a better tomorrow. If you start this kind of war, you are bound to be attacked.

”My job is to preserve and protect the culture of this country. It would be unfair for me to be silent on this. You now find male prostitutes by the roadsides.

” A popular Nigerian recently paid an unexpected visit to his son in England only to discover that the son is a gay leader. The man was brought back to the country on a wheelchair.

”I’m talking with the strength of information and authority. I have information that over twenty-three Nigerian boys are already starting Bobrisky’s brand.

”Immediately we started the war, they pulled out because we are going to get them arrested. They cannot destroy this country.”

Ghanaians Fed Up👎 With ‘1Day, 1Fraud’ Under Akufo-Addo:🗣 Sam George

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram who has booked a ticket for next year’s parliamentary election has stated his next focus is to work towards getting the Akufo-Addo government voted out of power in the 2020 general elections.

He told journalists Saturday that once he has crossed the first hurdle towards retaining his parliamentary seat, he would together with his NDC, move to the next stage of widening the vote gap between his party and the NPP by 20,000 in the constituency in the next elections.

According to him, Ghanaians are fed up with the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party government, which described as corrupt, incompetent and accused of swimming in fraud on a daily basis.

“Enough of the 1D, 1F; 1Day, 1Fraud! Enough of all of that” he stated, indicating that Ghana needs “a decent government” that will work and serve the interest of the people.

Saneke Our Award Hat trick Hero

It is always said that talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work and persistency.
It is on this tablet of hard work and persistency that the success story we are about to read is built upon.
Everyone has a purpose in life and a unique talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals. This I can comfortably say is what made this young, veteran writer and Super Lion distinguished and popular.
Barely three months of stay in the den, Aneke Sochi Cyriacus, popularly known as Saneke everywhere on campus, bagged an SUG award of excellence for his tremendous contributions to creative writing in the den.

Saneke and UNN SUG president , Comr. Chimezie Fortunatus during SUG Award night.

This was in recognition of his efforts to make the university student writers' voice heard through his creation of a whatsapp group, Unn Writers' Unite, a group he created with upto 167 writers in just two weeks of his stay in the den. As if that was not enough, he was made an editor for the Esa Brochure published by the Esa executives for his own set. It will be no

Barely one week after this, this same literary figure bagged another award (Most Creative Writer of the year) from the Faculty of Education, his faculty where he started it all.

Three awards in a roll to a 'fresher'; a hat_trick of award! Saneke Cyriacus has finally broken that record in barely one week! The very first of its kind in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka since inception.
These awards would have been no news if this young writer was in second year or final year, but being in first year and scaling these heights is something that should be applauded and looked up to by every student of Unn.
When asked what he intends to achieve from these great feats, he said and I quote, 'When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'. And thus, *THE SECRET BEHIND THE WHOLE SUCCESS STORY WAS REVEALED!*
Applauding him, we acknowledge his efforts to creative writing in the den as well as urge him to keep the literary fire glowing for the betterment of all lions and lionesses in the den.
